A New Year
All hail New Years Day
Let us walk through the threshold
And close the door behind us
Yesterdays travails cast asunder
And in their place,
Lessons earned
Let us stand at the window
And throw the curtains wide
So that hope can shine in
While we stand in the middle
And say to ourselves
On this very day,
I will begin again
All arms out reached to embrace the endless possibilities
Of creation
Blind faith
Reinvention
And the path to the future
May we tread with gratitude
And wide eyed wonder
At all that comes our way
And greet each moment with innocence
As if every day
Were New Years Day.
